Different Ways to Wear a Navy Blue Suit

Navy Blue Suit

If you’re looking to get out of wearing the same ole black suit that you grew up thinking was the way to go, then you’re in luck, as we can tell you that a navy blue suit can (and probably should) be the best alternative. However, simply picking out a suit or suit color is only part of whole equation, as choosing the right suit, shirt, and tie combinations can be the key to pulling off that great suit look that you are looking for.

Black is typically the color you’ll see most people combine with everything, so going away from that idea can be tough to do. But even though you may feel that way, there’s still many different ways you can color match with a navy suit to create a clean, classy look. Now having said that, if you’re not sure what colors match well then you should try to keep things simple. It will make it much easier to match your outfits and as the saying goes, sometimes less is more. For a timeless and effortless look, stay away from patterns and loud colors. Pairing a simple white shirt with your navy suit will always look perfect.

Now even though a black shirt isn’t the most common to wear with a navy suit, it can present a more striking, bold formal look for when you want to stand out. If you are going to try this look then it’s best that you keep your suit as neutral as possible, and stay away from anything too bright or flashy (jewelry included), as it will create a contrast and take away from the look you are trying to achieve. All in all, when you combine a black shirt with a navy suit you can create a clean, classy look that is perfect for almost any occasion.

What about the tie? Picking the right tie for your navy suit can be a hard thing to do as you are really open to any and all color combinations there are. A classic red tie is a good choice and has been the go to for many men for a long time. You can always go with the red tie white shirt combo. But if you are looking to spruce things up then you can go with more bold colors as most will look good in this arrangement. Just remember to always make sure the tie compliments the suit or you may end up looking like a prick and killing the whole outfit.
